All That Could Have Been
I’m getting there. I can’t paint a straight line to save my life but it’s looking pretty good. I hated the vampire mask I was going to paint. But it feels weird and loaded to not paint a head. I’ll figure it out. Frustrated

That “interesting” feeling when you gesso over a painting on a $500 canvas only to remember in the middle of the night that the background was all done in oil paint. Not happy is putting it mildly.

Went to @mattieleedspottery ’s for Doon Arts today. Creature 2 got a pig pot. First pic is of Creature 1 in 2017. Mattie showed me what he’s been working on lately: wild, dysfunctional, some figurative, pots. Super inspiring!
Started a new painting tonight and I don’t paint faces very often but I’m just in love with this one. Looks haunted to me.
