All That Could Have Been
I’m getting there. I can’t paint a straight line to save my life but it’s looking pretty good. I hated the vampire mask I was going to paint. But it feels weird and loaded to not paint a head. I’ll figure it out. Frustrated

Finished a painting this morning! It’s Getting Late.
Went to @mattieleedspottery ’s for Doon Arts today. Creature 2 got a pig pot. First pic is of Creature 1 in 2017. Mattie showed me what he’s been working on lately: wild, dysfunctional, some figurative, pots. Super inspiring!
Started a new painting tonight and I don’t paint faces very often but I’m just in love with this one. Looks haunted to me.

Opening Open Studios 2014

After some encouragement, I applied, and was accepted into Santa Cruz's Open Studios Art Tour 2014. A cool honor.

I have around twenty-five paintings that I'm willing to part with at the moment. One piece is down at the Santa Cruz Art League show and one is at the R. Blitzer show. Both are smaller 16x20" paintings.

My studio is a mess. My carpet is filthy. But, with the help of my family and friends, the paintings are hung, and I think I'm ready to open the studio to the public.

We'll see if anyone shows up.
